Michiko Hart McElfresh is the author of Grace on Broadway (Tammy Norie Press e-book 2013).  In 1993 she started McElfresh Map Company with her husband, Earl B. McElfresh, and has published twenty-three historical base maps.  In addition to maps she has edited and collated numerous books and articles for publication including Maps and Mapmakers of the Civil War (Abrams).  Previous careers include forays into banking and public relations.

Mrs. McElfresh graduated from St. Bonaventure University and London School of Economics.  She is the mother of three:  John, Reed and Diana.  She has served her community on the Board of Education and as secretary to the mayor. 

Born in Tokyo, Mrs. McElfresh has lived in three of the largest cities in the world, but is more than happy to call a rural area, hidden in the foothills of the Appalachians on a bend in the Allegheny River, home.
